Rick Santorum began his political career in the U.S. House of Representatives in 1990. He was elected to the Senate in 1994, and defeated for reelection in 2006. In the Senate, Santorum was the Republican Conference Chairman.
He also served on the Armed Services Committee, Agriculture Committee, Committee on Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs, the Special Committee on Aging and the Finance Committee. He has also been a Fox News Channel contributor since leaving office.
