If the DREAM Act were passed, $329 billion would be added to the U.S. economy and 1.4 million new jobs would be created by 2030, according to a report
released today.
It’s not about just economics – it’s also about civil rights! The DREAM Act would provide a path to citizenship for immigrants who came to our country as children and graduate from high school. The U.S. must exercise the awesome power of immigration consistent with the fundamental norms of humanity and the requirements of our Constitution.
Where do the candidates
stand? President Obama supports the DREAM Act, while Governor Romney has said that he would veto it if given the opportunity.
